Joe Willock enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Newcastle last season, so it is no surprise to hear that the Toon Army are hoping to resign the young English midfielder, according chroniclelive.co.uk.

Newcastle are apparently willing to make a player plus cash deal for Willock, with goalkeeper Freddie Woodman going in the other direction. Arsenal are apparently interested in signing the Brighton dup of White and Lamptey, so selling Willock would be one of the ways towards raising any money they need for their own summer signings. However, Willock played so well for Newcastle that many thought Arteta would want to give him a try in the Arsenal first team this season and that still might be the case.

If Willock is allowed to leave this summer then surely Newcastle will face some stiff competition for the talented Englishman, with Everton also thought to be keeping an eye on his situation.
